Our Story
Burfoot Flowers is a back-yard flower farm in Thurston County owned and operated by Mara & Noll. Our property is located near it’s namesake Burfoot Park, and sits on the Indigenous Lands of the Squaxin Island and Nisqually People.
Taking a barefoot (or burfoot) meander through the flower garden is a family tradition we have been carrying on since 2018. Our goal is to cultivate and share the simple joy and peace that tradition brings. We produce a tightly curated collection of dahlia tubers for sale, operate a small dahlia breeding program, and offer seasonal fresh flowers locally as well.
Our Promise
Soil and water health comes first
As conservationists by trade, we take the health of our shared natural resources seriously. Our practices protect water quality, and enrich soil health.
Equal access to beauty
Connection to natural beauty is a basic human right. If you have a financial barrier to accessing fresh flowers and feel they would enrich your life, reach out about sliding-scale and free options.
Pollinator support
Every bloom is a collaboration with our pollinators and other beneficial insects. No harmful chemicals. Yes free-flowering forage all season long!
Guarantee
Our tubers are sweetly attended to all season long, and carefully prepared for each shipment. We guarantee they will be true to type, with at least one eye.
