This dahlia originated right here at Burfoot Flowers, and you’ll only find it here for its 2026 release.
Burfoot Ginger is tall, luminous, and dependable. Soft pastel peach petals open to warm, glowing centers, creating full, sunlit blooms that feel like summer. The centers carry a subtle hint of pastel pink, which helps Ginger blend easily with other glowy pastels in arrangements.
Blooms are 4–5” across and carried high on exceptionally long, straight stems that are excellent for cutting. Centers are reliably closed, with abundant petals that are gently tousled, giving each bloom a playful, full look. Plants are very tall, reaching over 5 feet, and perform consistently well in the field and garden. While support is necessary, stems are strong, very straight, and easy to manage for a tall dahlia.
This dahlia hasn’t been tested in a wide diversity of growing environments, but has performed consistently in different gardens across the Western US.
