This dahlia originated right here at Burfoot Flowers, and you’ll only find it here for it’s 2026 release!
Some dahlias ask you to rethink your palette, and BF Lola is one of them. Each 4” bloom is delicately smoked, giving a hazy, illuminated look that is truly striking in person and difficult to capture in photos. The dark centers are consistently closed and tidy, with pleasing symmetry. The stems are nearly black, and wonderful for bouquet work and cutting.
In my field and garden, Lola is easy to grow and love, with no downsides in my eyes. Lola is an early season bloomer, and reliably covered in flowers all season long. The plant is about 3.5-4’ tall and tidy, with blooms riding high above the foliage for easy harvest. Lola’s performance and coloring are largely consistent throughout the season, and in our PNW growing conditions.
This dahlia hasn’t been tested in a diversity of growing environments.

Dahlia tubers ship within the United States (excluding Hawaii) via USPS, beginning in April, or once freezing temperatures are no longer in the forecast.
We offer $5 flat-rate shipping per order.
