This dahlia originated right here at Burfoot Flowers, and was released in 2025!
Burfoot Prosecco was love at first sight! Large, fluffy peach blooms sit beautifully on dark, very strong stems. Delicately pointed and cupped inner petals are blushed by darker peach and are a sight to behold. I find myself admiring them over and over!
Prosecco has fantastic bloom attachment, especially for a larger, fluffy bloom. It is truly rock solid! Blooms span 6” and have a slightly later mid-season bloom time. While this makes it a poor fit for those with very short growing seasons, it fills an important niche for me: Just when my early dahlias are starting to get a little tired and thin-stemed, BF Prosecco is getting ready to put on a glorious show that lasts until frost! I rely on it to finish the bouquet season strong every year.
Plants are strong and tall, reaching 5’ in my garden, and the field! Bloom coloring is very consistent throughout the season, and different growing conditions. Centers are reliably closed. Stems are dark, very sturdy, straight, and very long!
We recieved great feedback from friends and customers growing Prosecco in a diversity of different climates after it's 2025 release, but haven't confirmed high heat tolerance.

Dahlia tubers ship within the United States (excluding Hawaii) via USPS, beginning in April, or once freezing temperatures are no longer in the forecast.
We offer $5 flat-rate shipping per order.
